Sweet maple & nut protein balls are a nice little treat to end a meal just short of a protein goal. Or if you are not quite hungry upon awakening and just want to head out the door with something in your arsenal of healthy snacks, they work for that, too.
The base is oats and they’re coated with a light layer of maple syrup before they’re tossed in your choice of ground sunflower seeds or whole sunflowers. The best part is the entire batch costs about $2.25 to make and that’s .25 per ball!
Sign me up for that deal! Besides, I really don’t like drinking protein powder. It’s better in Banana, Zucchini, or chocolate muffins—or protein balls. I’m thinking chocolate or pumpkin will be quite tasty for my next run of protein treats!

This literally takes about 20 minutes when you gather ingredients. Plus, they store well in the fridge about 3-4 days, if they last that long! You’ll be happy to know these maple & nut protein balls have a nice 5 grams of fiber per ball, and 2.2 grams of fiber.
So, that means your weight-health hormones will be quite stimulated to hit all the satiety receptors in your brain and throughout our body to stay full.
Benefits of Maple & Nut Protein Balls
Not only do these protein balls have a good amount of quality protein and fiber, they also contain decent amounts of vitamins and minerals. We learn the value of vitamins and minerals for the production of our GLP-1, GIP, Pyy, & CCK (weight-health) hormones. . . they have the power to really make things happen. I talk about this is my weight-health hormone programs!

Devotion
God has wonderful plans for our eating, doesn’t He? Who cares more about your gut restoration, or the impact of our environment on our health in this generation than God? He sees and He knows what you and I face each day and he prepared a way for us just like he did for Elijah, in his time of great need.
Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah: 3 “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. 4 You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”
5 So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.
1 Kings 17:2-6God said the ravens will supply you with food and they did. Nothing is too hard, or impossible for Him. He commands the birds to do something and they do it. We, on the other hand hesitate or refuse.
Do you ever wonder why it’s so hard to do what we are told? Are we happier? Healthier? More satisfied?
I don’t know about you, but most of the time not obeying Him has just caused me more discomfort or pain. It has also taken a long time to realize He knows a better way. The good news is every day offers new hope.
We have a loving heavenly Father, who looks out for us in every single way. I am so grateful!
